2008 Beach Race & Festival at Oceano Dunes

The 5th annual Central Coast Motorcycle Association’s 2008 Beach Race & Festival at Oceano Dunes will take place on October 10, 11 and 12.  This event in on the Central Coast of California in the Oceano Dunes SVRA (aka Pismo Beach).

The CCMA is looking for vendors.  Here are some event highlights for 2008.

1.  CCMA EVENT.  The race is fully a CCMA event.  While WORCS affiliation with this event the last two years was successful and rewarding, the return of the event to its CCMA roots is filled with opportunity.  The race will be run on an approximately seven mile course in the Oceano Dunes.  As many as 1000 race entrants have appeared in prior events.

2.  FRIDAY NIGHT DINNER AND MOTORCYCLE SHOW KICK OFF.  Last year, the weekend of events started off with an awesome dinner and motorcycle show.  The motorcycle show featured rare and unusual bikes; and many had outstanding race heritage.  The dinner also featured two nationally recognized researchers in the field of spinal cord injury.  This kick-off dinner will be repeated again this year.  It will be an extremely special event combining the charisma of a motorcycle display to die for with a profound and deep program on a topic that touches many of us.

3.  SATURDAY NIGHT IN THE TENT ON THE BEACH.  For the third year in a row, there will be a BBQ dinner in a large tent located on the beach near the race staging area.  This is a relaxed dinner intended to bring the racing community together for a good cause.

4.  CHARITABLE PURPOSE.  The weekend events raise funds for SCI Research Advancements (a foundation dedicated to supporting research leading to finding a cure for paralysis cause by spinal cord injury) and for the Clayton Memorial Foundation (a foundation that assists injured motorcycle racers).

This event offers unique opportunities to local, regional and national vendors.  The charitable causes are genuine and profound.  The beach setting and festival atmosphere generate interest and intrigue.  The event assumes an important role in the local and national community.

The CCMA welcomes your interest and involvement.

Thank you!
